6 Common Ways to Fix "An Error Occurred Loading This Content"

If you would rather not use an advanced program or you don't want to risk losing all your data in a factory reset, the following common solutions can be helpful.
Way 1. Check the Internet Connection

Since this issue can be caused by a poor internet connection, preventing your Apple TV from communicating with the streaming service's server, you need to check the internet connection.

Step 1: Go to Settings on your Apple TV and click on "General".

Step 2: Click on "Network -> Test Network" and then click "OK".

Step 3: Confirm the action by clicking on "Yes" in and then choose the download speed you think your internet connection can handle.

Way 2. Turn off Subtitle Language

Since subtitles can be tasking to an already struggling internet connection, turning them off may be a good idea for you.

To turn off subtitles, you need to go to Settings -> Audio & Video -> Subtitle Language.

Way 3. Change Video Quality

Watching the video in HD quality may affect your Internet connectivity resulting in this problem. If the internet is slow, you may want to change the video quality.

To do that, you should go to Settings -> Audio &Video -> TV Resolution and change it to 720p or any other suitable resolution.

Way 4. Turn off the "Send to Apple" Setting

The "Send to Apple" feature can be instrumental in helping Apple maintain quality. But it can also cause buffering issues and network connectivity problems since it does take some bandwidth.

To disable this feature go to Settings -> General -> Send Data to Apple.

Way 5. Restart Your Apple TV

A simple restart can be instrumental in helping to fix a lot of issues with any device and the Apple TV is no different. To complete a restart of your Apple TV, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Unplug both the Apple TV and the TV from the power source for at least two minutes.

Step 2: Plug both devices back in and turn them on.

You can also restart the Apple TV via settings.

Way 6. Restart the Router

Sometimes it is not the issue of your Apple TV and the problem could be the router. Simply restarting the router has been known to reset the device and get it working normally again.

To restart the router, just unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes and then re-plug it in and turn it on. This will refresh the router and get it working normally again.
